YOGA CLASSES, WOODHOUSE EAVES
A FRIENDLY, WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE
Throughout my classes I will both demonstrate and give you clear and encouraging instructions to guide you through the sequence of poses. Importantly, I will also be monitoring you to make sure you are on the right track with the asanas. I do occasionally offer ‘hands on adjustments’. I am very mindful of your personal comfort levels and if this method isn’t for you, then feel free to let me know so I can offer you verbal instructions instead.
Expect some basic Pranayama breathing exercises and perhaps seated meditation at the end. These classes are a good place to learn beginners’ poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with yoga.
I weave Yoga philosophy into the practice and you can also expect some chanting. If you would prefer not to join in, feel free to sit back and enjoy the vibrations instead.
I welcome all adults, all sizes, and abilities. Do what you can, in each class, with yourself and for yourself.
You’ll be happy to know that we end each yoga class with savasana (shah-VAHS-ahnah) where you’ll lay down to calm the brain and relax the mind before setting off home.
A lot of new students ask me what to expect from yoga or what to wear to a class, follow these links to find out more.
